What Margot is
Margot reads a group-chat export you provide and returns an entertaining, opinionated "verdict" about it. It is entertainment. It is not advice — not legal, medical, psychological, or relationship advice — and it is generated by an AI that can be wrong. Don't make real decisions about real people based on it.
Your responsibilities
- You confirm you have the right to upload the chat, and that the people in it are okay with it being read for this purpose.
- You won't upload content that is illegal, or that you obtained without permission.
- You won't abuse the service — no automated scraping, no attempts to break the paywall or overwhelm the system.
- You must be old enough to use this in your country (at least 16, or the local age of digital consent).
Payment & refunds
The first verdict is free to preview. Unlocking the full verdict is a one-time payment (currently $9.90), handled by Stripe — no subscription. One payment unlocks one chat's verdict. Because the verdict is generated on demand and delivered immediately, payments are generally non-refundable. If something genuinely broke — you were charged and got no verdict — email hello@margot.app and we'll make it right.
Acceptable use & safety
Margot punches at behaviour, not identity, and steps back from genuine distress. Don't use it to harass, defame, or target anyone. We may decline or stop processing content that violates these terms or that our providers' policies prohibit.
No warranty & liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Margot's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the verdict in question. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for how anyone reacts to a verdict you choose to share.
